Uruguay

I welcome you to this small and beautiful country. Meeting people who are traveling, interested in discovering new places, cultures and traditions is not a job for me, I enjoy it. After the tours the guests generally become friends, that has been my style and general approach in my years of experience supporting visitors. I was captivated by the natural world from a very young age and made my passion to explore and investigate my country which led me to visit practically all of it, and anyway, not only the best known places but also those little hidden spots that often go unnoticed. Travel all kinds of routes, roads, and trails. Camping in hills, forests and beaches. Paddle through rivers, streams, and the open sea. Knowing the history, art and microcultures of each region was always the essential complement to the above, which in my opinion is what ends up making the identity of each place. These concerns later led me to live in other latitudes, where geographical and cultural exploration was constant. There I realized that sharing with other people the knowledge that one acquires on the roads and communities filled me greatly, and I could contribute to these visitors who came for a few days much more than traditional options. What I offer you here is exactly that, share my knowledge and show you that each place in Uruguay not only has its own natural beauties, but also history, legends, traditions, architecture, art and characteristic gastronomy. When you return to your land, will remember that you not only visit what everyone knows about Uruguay but also explore secret spots that only locals frequent. My goal is to show you the most beautiful, interesting, and unique places in a very private tour, so that when you leave, you can be assured that you really got to know Uruguay, its culture, and its people. Hoping you find this proposal interesting, I will be very happy to be your guest here and explore this beautiful country together. WHEREVER / WHENEVER

Review of my 5-day tours with Toshi M

Toshi is a decent guy. I am grateful for his additional help to me in finding the 2 meeting places that I signed up with other companies in Osaka. He often offered to take pictures at the sightseeing spots for me since I am traveling solo. Some aspects Toshi /GOWITHGUIDE can do better: 1. The company needs to have a more rigid screening process. The picture Toshi put on the website looks like a middle-aged man, but he maybe a lot older than that. I was surprised to see him on Sept 12. He came with a cane because he injured his angel. At some major sites, he did not go with me to the actual spots. Sometimes I got lost due to our walking speed/distractions, and it took more time for us to find each other. GOWITHGUIDE should have a policy asking for doctor’s certificate that the person is physically fit to do the walking and climbing in hot and cold days. 2. He was not very knowledgeable on the areas that he advertised. Lots of time he needed to stop to ask for directions. The first day he came to meet me at 11:01 since he could not find my hotel! We were supposed to meet at 9:30 am. He also told me that his wife has Parkinson’s disease he has to help her for her morning routines. With high temperature everyday I wish we could start tours earlier, but I didn’t feel comfortable to ask him. The time spent on finding directions was calculated into my 7-hour schedule. 3. Totally, I paid him/GOWITHGUIDE more than $1000 (paying to the company upfront and paying him the transportation and lunch daily directly) Here the company should make it clear about transportation and lunch policy. Overall, I don’t feel my money was well-spent. He did accomplish hotel meeting and sending-me-back job. The sightseeing part did not meet my expectations. I thought it was too late to change a guide when I met him the first day. So I worked with him till the end. Although overall he is a decent guy, he lacked the ability to do a better job as a tour guide. I can provide a longer review.

Rababe was a delight

We so enjoyed our day in Tangier with Rababe. She was on time when she met us at the port & her English was amazing. We toured the old town & markets, had lunch & learned to make chicken pastilla at her home. Rababe is gracious, informative & a great ambassador of Tangier & Morocco. No pressure selling or carpet store tours as is common with guides. Don’t hesitate to book with Rababe & you will always have a friend here with a kind heart.

Our driver was kind, knowledgeable & respectful. Expectations met.

We had a fantastic time. Our driver arrived right on time. While his English was limited, he tried very hard, and we managed to communicate effectively anyway. We saw the places agreed and never felt rushed. We sensed a great sense of pride on his part in ensuring foreigners enjoy their time in the Hakone area. Would definitely hire him again.
