Walking along historical trail between Nara and Yagyu where was used to be the mecca of swordsmanship "Kenjyutu" during Edo era. As Yagyu family was a leader of Yagyu Shinkage Ryu, one of the stile of Japanese swordsmanships, many samurais visited Yagu to learn the skill through the trail. You can enjoy such old trail thinking about samurai who were eager to improve the skill of swordsmanship.

Yasu was very attentive to the needs of my family and put together the perfect tour. The pace was steady and we saw a lot of what Kyoto had to offer even taking in some locale fare.
Dear Brian Thank you very much for your kind words for me and the tour. I am also very happy to know that you and your wife enjoyed the tour in Kyoto. Yasu
Yasu, was very responsive prior to the trip and arranged to meet us at Kyoto Station and even helped us on the way back navigate the bullet train tickets! He had arranged for a private taxi as the weather very hot and humid and and it allowed us to move quickly between destinations. As we were travelling from Tokyo and just doing the tour in Kyoto for a day, thus meant we could maximise our time and see as much as possible. Yasu's knowledge was exceptional and at every stop he gave us very insightful descriptions. In addition to the historical sights he showed us some of the cultural side of life in Japan, visiting parts of the old town, midtown where we saw festival floats that were highly decorated, and a famous market. Yasu was a charming, kind and had a fantastic knowledge base and wouldn't hesitate in recommending him to anyone. Kind regards, Adrian

I booked Yasu san for a day trip to Nara for my parents (I've been to Nara before). My parents were delighted. He was always very punctual and kind. He had setup a plan for the day, but also during the day, he came up with suggestions that could be of more interest to my parents and adjusted accordingly. The day went smooth and delightful.
Dear Carlos Thank you very much for your kind words about the tour and myself. I am also very happy to know that your parents enjoyed the tour, Please give my warmest regards to Luis and Margarita. Yasu
We were looking for a serious, knowledgeable guide for Nara and Yasu was everything we wanted. I have been using guides on sites like this for several years and I would put Yasu at the very top of the guides we have had. See my review about our day with him in Kyoto. Again in Nara, his deep knowledge of Japanese history and culture gave us a perspective on the main sites that we would not have had. He also used his own car to take us to a temple and another historic site further away, which we would have missed entirely without him. Highly recommended if you are serious about seeing and learning about Kyoto and Nara. Kent and Luca
Kent & Luca Thank you very much for nice words on my tour in Nara. I also very happy to know that you enjoyed the tour in Nara including those which is difficult to visit using only public transportation. I wish to see you again. Yasu
