We will enjoy local specialities, which are pillars of the Venetian cuisine, the so-called cichetti. In each of the 7 locations or “bacari”, we will taste 2 different cichetti types, selected by the guide, accompanied by a glass of spritz, prosecco, local wine and will conclude the tour celebrating the acquaintance with Venice on the embankment of the Giudecca Channel tasting the best ice cream with a cup of espresso.

Gondola ferry service. We will starting the trip with an authentic experience crossing the Grand Canal on the gondola ferry to reach the fish market.
Venice speaks through its own cuisine, which originated in the heart of the city, in the streets in front of the Rialto Mercato. It's a market that thrives with the aromas of fresh vegies from the island of Sant Erasmo and strikes imagination with a variety of crustaceans, molluscs, fish of all kinds from the waters of the lagoon.
On finishing the visit to Rialto market we will head to the bacaries, which is a unique local format between a bistro and a bar, located in the close proximity to the market. All the 3 bacaries offer different choice of cichetti, venetian tapas, the degustations will include 2 cichetti types per bacaro and a welcome drink, a glass of prosecco.
Over the 4-hour walk you will learn:

The 4th bacaro il located in the piсturesque square where we can enjoy the sight of one of the oldest churches. The bacaro's speciality is moscardini cichetti (small octopuses) and bacalà.
Then we will cross Rialto bridge and head to the cantina to taste local prosecco, white or red wine. The cantina stands out for its selection of local wines originating from the Veneto region, made from authentic local grape varieties. The degustation includes 1 glass of prosecco and 2 glasses of red or white wine.
In order to continue the enogastronomic walk, we will move to another city quarter, Dorsoduro, the walk will take 15 minutes.
There, on the banks of the canal, opposite the picturesque gondola service station, we will continue the tasting of cicchetti, enjoying a unique view in front of the bacaro. The degustation will include 2 cichetti and the local red wine, Raboso, or Spritz.
We will conclude the tour celebrating the acquaintance with Venice on the embankment of the Giudecca Channel tasting the best ice cream with a cup of espresso.

My enogastro walk is planned exclusively ONE per day, from mon to sat, in the morning, and this is predetermined by the Market schedule and best local street food choice available usually only till the lunch hour. So, only from Mon to Sat, from 8.00 to 14.00.

The guide will meet you at the hotel's lobby to see you to the starting point of the excursion. Venice is a small city, usually it takes from 5-10 to 25 min to walk. The excursions lasts 3-3,5 h. Then the guide will see you to the hotel or any other place that you indicate.
The guide recommends what to order in this and that location and makes all the orders on the behalf of the guests. But it is the guest who decides on the quantity of cichetti or drinks, that might be reduced or increased. For the sake of client satisfaction and to avoid over-spendings, the food & beverages budget is excluded from the total price. If the group expresses its consent, the guide can dispose a shared wallet for the group and make all payments in each location.
Venetian street food is called "cichetti". They have different formats, usually cichetti look like tapas, but sometimes its a hot or cold dish shared X quantity of people. Please, mind that Venetian traditional food is predominately fish or seafood, including raw & marinated fish, if you prefer meat, please communicate your preference to the guide in advance.
Unfortunately not. The local street food is based mainly on fish, seafood, meat, cheese. The guide cannot adapt it to the vegetarian menu. If you have any specific food allergy, you must communicate it to the guide in advance.
We will visit 7 locations, incl. 6 bacaries, which is a unique local format between a bistro and a bar, and 1 cafè. In the first 5 bacaries you will taste 2 different cichetti, so at least 10 cichetti per person and 1 spritz + 3 types of wine/prosecco tasting in the sixth bacaro + the best local ice-cream with coffee in a cafè which is out last stop. The quantity of cichetti and drinks may be customized according to the guests preferences & budget.
