Ethiopia is the birth place of coffee & named after a region called "Kaffa" situated in Southwestern part of the country. In the later days muslim traders took Ethiopian coffee beans to the middle east & gave it the name coffee Arabica, which of ciurse today became worldwide ciffee brand name. In this trip we dicover the main coffee plantation areas such as: East, southwest & rift valley region of Ethiopia. We aldo visit local coffee coopratives who produce wild & cultivated coffee farmlands.

Day 1- Addis Ababa
Arrive Bole International Airport then transfer to hotel by our staff member. Balance of the day, head for a city tour to visit Mt Entoto, Trinity Cathedral, Marksto St. George church snd coffee houses such sd Robera, Hadero, Tomoca and for differt types of coffe beans coming all over the country. O/n Hotel
Day 2- Addis Abeba -Jimma
Take breakfast then fly to Jimma. Balance of the day, visit some forest coffee plantation outside Jimma town like: Beda Bunna/coffee farmland and go for coffee shops/houses where you could enjoy coffee produced in Jimma region. O/n Hotel.
Day 3- Jimma- Bonga-
(125kms) Today we drive to the birth place of coffee, that is Kaffa region on which the maximum coffee production in the country is coming from. On arrival in Bonga town enjoy lunch and continue to visit the traditional house of Kaffa people, then more drive to Adiyo falls, Dadiben and Gora Hot springs. On the way to our hiking visit coffee plantation and coprative shops in Jimma. O/n hotel
Day 4- Bonga
Full day in Bonga. After breakfsst, trek to Mankira village, a specific area where coffee Arabica believed to have first discovered by a legendary goat herder known as 'Kaldi'. Here you will see forest coffee plantations growing in the wild. More visit of coprative association and coffee processing centers. En route stop at the ancient church of Adaracha Medhanealem and the Gurguto natural Bridge. Then back to Bonga for your hotel. O/n hotel
Day 5- Bonga-Mizan Teferi- (250kms)
Take breakfast then the whole day driving to Mizanteferi visiting any coffee farmlands and coffee processing shops on the way. O/n hotel
Day 6- Mizan-Bebeka state farm-Mizan (30kms)-
Early breakfast at your hotel and drive to Bebeka state coffee plantation. Mizan is a relatively modern town in the region used as a spring board to explore the southewestetn and lower Omo valley tribes, such as:- the Surma/Suri people, Nyangatom, Bume and so on. Drive to Bebeka 30kms from Mizan Tefferi then the whole day; visit the largest and oldest state owned coffee plantation in Ethiopia. Visit the growing stages of coffee plants from their seedling to coffee bean stages. After picnic lunch more visit to the farmland including enjoy a cup of coffee in a nearby local villages then back to Mizan. O/n hotel
Day 7- Mizan–Jimma-
After breakfast, drive to Jimma using the same road that we had the other day. On the way stop at one of the oldest state owned Wush-Wush tea plantations in Ethiopia then head to Bonga for lunch. O/n hotel
Day 8- Jimma - Butajira.
In the morning, drive to the palace of King Aba Jiffar located on the northern secton of the town, then proceeded to Butajira with lunch stop at Negash lodge in Wolliso town. O/n hotel.
Day 9- Butajira – Awassa-
After breakfast, drive through the rift valley region to the lake side town of Hawassa. On the way visit Abijata-Shalla lakes NP. Have lunch in Shashemene then proceed to Wendogenet public resort area with natural hot springs. Walk in to Sidama coffee farmlands and experience typical coffee ceremony of Sidama people. Late afternoon heading to Awassa city situated on the Eastern side of Lake Awassa. O/n hotel
Day 10- Awassa-Yirgalem-
Breakfast then drive to Awassa fish market where the locals buying and selling the daily chatches. Leave Awassa town and heading south to thr small village of Yirgalem using the main road leading to Kenya. All the way enjoy traditional Sidama Houses encircled by Coffee and Enset/False Banana plantation. After lunch, get off from the beautiful Aregash Lodge and walk deep into the natural forest surrounded by lush and green Coffee, Enset and other trees. Here be invited in one of Sidama houses where you would experience preparation of Enset/false banana food and test their delicious Sidama coffee. At night enjoy campfire and wild Hayena feeding who are coming to the fire place for their dinner. O/n lodge
Day 11- Yirgalem-Dilla-
Drive through a very green landsape to reach Yirgachefe village where one of the most popular coffee bean in the Ethiopia is harvested. Here visit Yirga Cheffe coffee cultivating and processing center where the best coffee brand for local and export use. It's the area where you can visit several Coffee Cooperatives and plantations.
Day 12- Dilla- Hageremariam -Dilla-
The while day in Della with day trip to Hagre Mariam to visit more coffee farms/plantation and Cooperatives like Hadeso. After lunch drive back to Dilla with abshort stop at the ancient grave stelae of Tutu Fela signifying testimonies of death cult in the past millennia. O/n hotel
Day 13- Dilla-Addis Ababa-
Direct drive to Addis Ababa En route visit Lake Ziway known for a variety of aquatic bird species. O/n hotel
Day 14- Addis Ababa-Diredawa- Harar-
After breakfast transfer to airport for the flight to Diredawa then drive to Garamuleta where the best coffee production in Harar region is located. Visit private coffee farms and cooperatives in the surrounding. Proceed to Harar with stop over at
Aweday Chat/Cat Market, a place where Chat is abundantly planted for local use and export market. O/n Ras Hotel.
Day 15- Harar-
The whole day in Harar with day trip to Gursum village to see small coffee farmlands and processing centers. Back to hotel for lunch then in the afternoon do city tour of Harar including coffee processing and packing shop. In the evening enjoy Hayena man show which is an activity of feeding the wild Hyenas during night time snd is a tradation held for many centuries. O/n hotel
Day 16- Harar-Diredawa-Addis Ababa-
Drive to Diredawa and fly to Addis Ababa. In the afternoon do more coffee shop visit then later in the evening, enjoy an Ethiopian night in one of the cultural restaurants with Tradational meals and local dances.
Drop off at your hotel or btransferred to airport for your departure home.
